This is the last of 8 days in a row of listing five things I’m grateful for about First Trinity. Here we go:
- For Ruth Kovach who is celebrating 35 years of ministry at First Trinity as organist and choir director. All who know Ruth know her sweetness and her grace-perspective on life. She is also one of the smartest women I have ever known. She is pure-gift-from-God! Consider this: she served at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Buffalo for 32 years BEFORE she came to First Trinity!! She literally began playing the organ for worship at age 12. Talk about servant leadership!
- For the opportunity to host the Advent Vesper– a wonderful concert, featuring a mass choir from choirs around Western New York (directed by Sue Brese). This concert is a GREAT way to kick off your Advent/Christmas season in the right way. Sunday December 2, 4pm and 7pm. Freewill offering.
- For the Children’s Christmas Program! Nothing like hearing the kids (Early Childhood Center and Kingdom Quest) tell the story. This year’s is Sunday December 16 at 5:00pm.
- For our location. Easy to find, passed by thousands of cars each day.
- For those who have come before us in this place and shown the way for ministry. Those we don’t even know by name, but who God used to start and continue the ministry of First Trinity Lutheran Church.
