Powerlab craziness!

Powerlab craziness

Am I completely and utterly overwhelmed with what needs to get done before I leave for Haiti on Sunday? YES. Am I incredibly charged up about the Haiti Mission trip and whatever God has in store for us and however He wants to use us there? YES. Am I over the moon about our new Adult Growth Classes starting Sunday? YES. Does it turn my crank that we have a new tiny LCD projector for Pastor and Susan Whited to use for their Creation class? YES. Am I pumped about the new Servant Leadership course that begins January 22 (more about that in tomorrow’s post)? ABSOLUTELY.

BUT TODAY, I GOT THE VBS STARTER KIT FOR 2008!!!!

Oh my. Powerlab is on its’ way! July 14-18, 2008, baby. Kids. Jesus. More fun than than you can shake a stick at (or a beaker, in this case!).

The Bible Stories are great. The music is awesome. I’m soakin’ it in. Lovin’ every minute.

Start praying about how God might be calling you to be part of this great ministry!

Jesus and test tubes…as a former Chemistry major and current Religious Studies major, I can say that that sounds totally fun!! Can’t wait, it’s already on my calendar!!

I LOVE VBS!!!! Can’t wait to get geeky for God!

I admire how you do not get down or frustrated when you are super busy - you enjoy what you can and give thanks for the good stuff and keep plugging away!!!
Love,
Trace

Do I think Sue Steege is way cool? Yes I do.

Do I think it’s great that Tracy’s going by TBone on your blog? Absolutely.

Geeky for God! LOL! Is that the Bible point or the response? I LOVE VBS TOO!

I thought TBone was Trace - but now I KNOW!

You guys are gonna have way too much fun in Haiti!

TBone is pretty corny, if you ask me. How about TSquare?!!?!?
VERY square.

I’d like to see less comments about chosen nicknames (though they are fun) and more about those goggles. Plus, inquiring minds want to know if Rowdy is back this year? He was cool.

But Rowdy was an imposter! He returned to his real life as Eugene Butterbonnet. But, Jason, don’t despair…and be watching for Professor Wilmer. I hear he’s the perfect mix of nerd and cool!
What do you mean you want to see more comments about the goggles? That is good-lookin’, my friend. Good lookin’.

I agree, they are extremely good looking. I was expecting others to take note and say something about it. Or at a minimum, why aren’t they posting about where to get their very own fluorescent green goggles?

I was going to comment on the cool green goggles, but then I realized I’m not one to say anything, I have my very own cool neon green goggles from high school biology lab. I was the only one with neon green and I thought I was so cool, well I was :) Still have them to this day too!

Awesome, Kristina–be sure and bring them to Power Lab in July!!

I didn’t really notice anything different about Sue. I just thought she got those to match her green shoes.
Still, I am excited about VBS. It will be cool!

OH MY GOSH—the green shoes!!!!! I forgot about them and they are a DEFINITE match. Thanks for the style tip, Chuck.
