- Jason did another great job. I loved it that the kids came and did the skit at all four services. This is a great way to share what happened at Workcamp. August is so deadly as far as having people away, though. Lots of Workcampers not there.
- My new PIT Crew (Pam Jones says it should be called SIT Crew: Sue’s Intercessory Team) prayed with em today (they will do it once a month in person, every day at home). Oh my, that is such luxury. To be prayed for and to have Transformation Ministries prayed. I felt myself smoothing out beautifully in God’s presence.
- NOT ONE usher showed for 11:15 service. Not one. SO GLAD we are working on that issue with the Host Team. If you’d like to volunteer to be an usher, greeter, parking lot greeter or welcome center person, please come to the training on September 3rd. We need you!!
- Big thanks to Darcy Fesmire for leadig a game of Biblopoly during the Servant Adventures hour at 10:00am. I heard it was lots of fun.
- Shepherd’s Training for Kingdom Quest was at 10am, as well. Lauren Vance (Shepherd’s Coach) did a great great job of leading the meeting and the training. We’re still looking for a couple shepherds. If you would love to invest your life in the lives of a small group of Elementary School aged children, let’s talk.
- Good thing about no ushers at 11:15 was I sat nearer the back of the church to help and I am going to sit there more often. Met several visitors or newer folks which I would have totally missed by sitting up near the front like I usually do.
- Micahel Brenan, an usher for the 8:45 service was very concerned about people in the sanctuary not being too warm, because it was so warm in the lobby. I love that…ushers who take the comfort of worshipers seriously. We don’t want anything to get in the way of people focusing on God during worship. The air situation is a little hard to figure out at First Trinity. Where we are now is that the sanctuary is air-conditioned (yippy skippy!!!) and the office hall way is air-conditioned. But the lobby isn’t. So you really feel a strong difference when you walk between the lobby and the offices on a hot and muggy day.
- Had the nicest nap during the thunderstorm this afternoon. I love a nap during a rain storm.

Perhaps the lobby warm and the sanctuary airconditioned will get folks into the church.
